Jean-Paul FORTIN believes, quite as the Quebec Breakfast Club, that all children should have projects and dreams to fuel their creative energies. The company has taken the commitment to donate $2 to the Club for every Jean-Paul FORTIN ecological bag sold in store.

Every morning, throughout Quebec, the Breakfast Club brings 18,000 children two essential elements to start their school day on the right foot: a nutritious breakfast and a nourishing environment.

The Quebec Breakfast Club opened its doors in 1994 at the Lionel-Groulx elementary school, located in an underprivileged Longueuil neighbourhood. The Club's founder, Daniel Germain, wished to offer all the children the chance to have a nutritious breakfast before going to class.

The project had such a positive effect on the children's academic achievement that, soon, other schools were knocking at the Breakfast Club's door.

Since 1994, thanks to the support of an increasing number of private and public partners, the Breakfast Club will have installed kitchen facilities in 297 primary and secondary Quebec schools by the end of the 2010-11 school year.

During the last school year, the Club served 2 500 000 breakfasts.
